SAP COST AND QUOTATION MANAGEMENT

FEATURES & FUNCTIONS

The SAP Cost and Quotation Management (SAP CQM) application enables you to take control of your cost and quotation processes, allowing you to quote properly and improve your bottom line. With SAP CQM, you can do the following:

  • Opportunity screening – SAP CQM enables you to qualify incoming requests for quotation (RFQs) based on the type of quote, likelihood of receiving the contract, expected turnaround time, and estimated revenue, profit, and risk.
  • Data cleansing – SAP CQM allows you to match incoming customer part numbers with internal part numbers and supplier numbers.
  • Flexible cost assignment – With SAP CQM, you can assemble quotes based on a configurable set of cost categories, including material costs, variable costs, assembly costs, and nonrecurring engineering costs.
  • Retrieval of prices from multiple sources – Since SAP CQM leverages the SAP NetWeaver platform, you can access price information from virtually any application – including data on contracts, purchase orders, supplier quotes, previous quotes, and standard prices.
  • Sourcing with suppliers – SAP CQM allows you to reach out into your supply chain for pricing information. It considers approved vendor lists for given components, supports offline sourcing, and incorporates incoming supplier quotes.
  • Team management – With SAP CQM, you can support teams collaborating on quotations. You get workflow integration and software support for five key roles: account manager, quote team lead, data manager, quote team member, and reviewer.
  • Attachments handling and storage – SAP CQM allows you to keep relevant supporting material with your quotation. You can store attachments such as bills of material, approved vendor part number listings, and design documents.
